We also installed an exhibition in the Oxfordshire Museum Woodstock who housed us in the Coach House Education Centre. We entertained approximately 80 visitors many of them children. One family brought with them 'things found in the garden' - see photo.
Festival and Exhibition "Clear up your loose" is a phrase indicating 'Tea time or Take a break" It refers to the practice of clearing up all the loose earth before finishing, not just for the tea break but at the end of the day. It has become short-hand for the general process of tidying up the dig site - ready to photograph. In the broader sense of tidying up loose ends, here we will put all those little bits and pieces that don't sit neatly elsewhere. During July 2019 we have installed a display within Kidlington Library and put on an exhibition as part of the British Council for Archaeology. At Kidlington Library we displayed finds from one context found at The Highwayman earlier this year.
